PREVENTION OF ADDMINISTRATIVE FALIUR AND MAL FUNCTION:

‘PRESCRIPT ION AUDIT’ is started in Govt. Hospitals of South 24 pgs. To prevent doctors from un- necessary and over dose prescribing of ANTIBIOTICS as it is causing great health damages to the patients. Official of Health Dept. checking every third prescription of outdoor Dept. in their sudden visit at hospital medicine stores asking for ‘SHOW CAUSE’ to the doctors found guilty.

New state Govt. started investigation on the doubtful bills and stopped the payment of old bills dated before 31st march 2011, so companies stopped supplying even chemotherapy drugs to the govt. hospitals. The BPL cancer patients of even in advance stage hospitals like R.G.Kar staying untreated.

State drug control dept. has suspended three blood banks of three dist. hospitals, Shiuri, Kalyani and Bolpur. The banks were not examining blood compulsorily due to which patients might have been infected by the deadly diseases like HIV, Hepatitis-b, malaria, etc.

Special investigating cell will be created with retired WBCS, IAS, educationists, and social activists for vigilance of the data available in Govt. hospitals Death audit will be starting shortly for every child death of the state.

ENCOURAGEMENT OF PROFESSIONALS:

DOCTORS WILL GET ADDITIONAL 10% MARKS in their M.D. and M.S. exams, if they start their career in these following backward districts, BANKURA, BIRBHUM, PURULIA, NORTH and SOUTH DINAJPUR,MALDA, EAST and WEST MIDNAPUR, MURSHIDABAD and some portion of COCHBIHAR and DARJEELING.

DOCTORS WILL GET FACILITY IN THEIR POST GRADUATION if they work in back ward areas. 50% SEATS FOR of diploma and 40% of degree in post-graduation will be reserved for the DOCTORS who WILL work in newly prescribed (yojana commission) ‘difficult’ areas i.e. six districts of north Bengal, Puruliah, Jhargram sub division, gosaba- basanti- sagar- pathar pratima of 24-pgs.,khatra sub-division and some blokes of sandeshkhali sub-division.

Retirement rule for the teaching doctors (60 years) and full time teaching doctors policy should be changed. Teaching should be opened for all types of eligible doctors even on part time basis and they should get permission for private practice, especially in districts and rural areas.

‘NURSING PRACTITIONER’ POST HAS BEEN CREATED, for the graduate nurses. After a special training they will be eligible to write prescription and make normal delivery. Hospital superintends and dist. health secretaries use to face lots of problems so new state govt. decided they will get extra facilities at the time of their promotions.
